Facility Management in the Future World of Digital Twins. How the Industry will look like in the Future?
We can notice a Digital Twin trend on the market. It is not so common and advertised yet as it has no real implementations yet. On the other hand, we can read that some of the international companies such as Siemens, Boeing, GE and other well known companies has decided to start their work on Digital Twins. What is that? I've been a facility manager for NHPCO for the past 10 years where my role has grown and changed with the needs of my organization. My company is dedicated to ensuring that everyone have education about and access to the best person-centered care that humankind has to offer at the time when it is needed. Both of my parents received hospice care at the end of each of their lives, and the lasting impression it left on me inspired me to dedicate a large portion of my professional life to make certain other families had experiences like my own. My role is far removed from the bedside, but I do my part to support the NHPCO staff who in turn do their work to support those in the field and at bedsides.
I am a member of IFMA, currently serve as VP Professional Development for IFMA Capital Chapter in Washington DC, and am also a member of the Workplace Evolutionaries (WE) community.

David Ernest has obtained a Master’s degree in building energy efficiency from the University of Paris and a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
In California, his has conducted several studies in the field of environmental design (including natural ventilation and occupant comfort simulations).
From 1991 to 1996, he has lead R&D programs in Group Icade, a leader in real estate services in France.
Starting in 1996, he has launched the certification program (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) for most of the activities of Group Icade (project management, real estate development, property management and facility management).
Since 2001, he has conducted consulting and project management activities and a series of audits in the field of facility management, environmental performance of buildings, occupants’ satisfaction, health & safety and space planning.
He is now leading the Innovation & Energy Department of VINCI Facilities with projects ranging from energy performance contracting
