New technologies and innovations are emerging rapidly and will forever impact the way we work, how we manage space and the human experience. Artificial Intelligence is bringing a new wave of change, often leaving workers wondering what it means for the future of their jobs. We need to look to the future to see the shift that is on the horizon, how these shifts and disruptions will impact the way we work. Integrating rapidly emerging technology have been our focus in recent years. These are both exciting and alarming times as we venture down a new path. This session takes a look at how evolving technologies and new innovations are impacting work, workers and the workplace.
George is the author of several books and a large number of articles about facility management. He is a consultant in the area of facility management for almost 25 years. His areas of expertise are strategy and governance of facility management organizations and strategic sourcing. As a consultant he is working for almost all corporates in the Netherlands and for numerous public organizations. George is the initiator of a large number of leading research projects such as The Future of Work, The Provider Performance Research, The FM Market Research. George is managing partner at Hospitality Group, the leading consultancy, training and interim management firm in the field of facility management and real estate. In addition to consultancy activities, he is a much sought-after speaker at congresses and he teaches several courses in the Netherlands.

I've been a facility manager for NHPCO for the past 10 years where my role has grown and changed with the needs of my organization. Both of my parents received hospice care at the end of each of their lives, and the lasting impression it left on me inspired me to dedicate a large portion of my professional life to make certain other families had experiences like my own. About me
David Ernest has obtained a Master’s degree in building energy efficiency from the University of Paris and a Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
In California, his has conducted several studies in the field of environmental design (including natural ventilation and occupant comfort simulations).
From 1991 to 1996, he has lead R&D programs in Group Icade, a leader in real estate services in France.
Starting in 1996, he has launched the certification program (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) for most of the activities of Group Icade (project management, real estate development, property management and facility management).
Since 2001, he has conducted consulting and project management activities and a series of audits in the field of facility management, environmental performance of buildings, occupants’ satisfaction, health & safety and space planning.
He is now leading the Innovation & Energy Department of VINCI Facilities with projects ranging from energy performance contracting
