EU Debate: "By 2050, the European Commission wants Europe to reach zero greenhouse emissions."

Reducing energy demand and increasing energy efficiency will play a central role in decarbonizing Europe’s building stock. Future EU building regulations are likely to trend towards increasingly stringent energy efficiency targets for buildings requiring the industry to remain abreast of a changing landscape.

Across the building value chain, various industries must play their part to help the Commission meet the 2050 target: contractors will construct the zero-emission buildings, renovators will use the most energy efficient technologies and products, and facility managers will oversee major renovation works to improve a building’s overall energy performance.

In today’s panel, we will hear stakeholders Eugenio Quintieri, Jos Duchamp, and Sue Arundalekey about how their particular sector will design, develop and deploy strategies in order to help Europe to decarbonize its buildings. Please welcome!
